If you are a UW Honors student, you are invited to try our app for free this quarter - GetGreen. GetGreen is the new app for people who want to help solve the climate crisis. It makes it easy to make a difference by showing you where to start and how to build climate-positive behaviors.

If you missed it in the email invite, you can compete for prizes awarded for completed actions (you earn leaves with your actions as you avoid carbon impact in your life) and for insightful suggestions you make in the app between now and June 1st.  Your collective, measured impacts will support the UW Campus Sustainability Fund.  Double your impact and reinforce daily steps to greener living.

How to get started

1. Download the app - using the links here (Android or iPhone)

2. Sign up using your uw.edu address

3. After onboarding, select the UW Campus Sustainability Fund as your Project to get on the Top Supporter leaderboard

4. Start making climate-positive actions!

Practicing the Most Green Actions

After June 1st, prizes will be awarded to the top 10 Honors students on the UW Campus Sustainability Fund project Supporters leaderboard -  Top 3 will win $20 gift certificates to a low-carbon food/eatery like Frankie and Jo's plant based ice cream, Farm Bucks to University Farmer's Market, Cedars or other local vendors featured in the app.The next 7 will win $5 certificates.

The Math
Your Efforts Will Be Measured And Doubled To Support UW Sustainability

​All leaves earned by Honors students for this pilot will be paid to UW Campus Sustainability Fund. 1 leaf in the app is equivalent to 10 pounds of carbon you have averted with your action(s).  200 leaves = 1 ton of carbon averted.
